Ever wondered if it’s possible to have careers in the city, raise a family, travel quite a bit, and do all the work to make nice wine all at the same time?
Tracey is from a farming and country living background, is curious about people and places and life, and never short of an idea for a project. Her professional life has focussed on health – nursing, midwifery, medical laboratory science and public health – distributed amongst the challenge of raising a family of four lively kids, and the challenge of Russ’ career.
Russ has origins in the city (although if you go back about 17 generations, a Scottish castle). His training is science, his career has been all about innovation, but his focus has been the art of leadership and strategic thinking and growing the next generation of problem solvers.
But it’s one journey, not two. Lifelong Christians, Tracey and Russ met as young adults at church in Canberra, have been married since their late 20s, and have pursued the adventures of life as partners and best friends ever since. This has included trekking in the Himalayas, various family sojourns in Europe, tackling life on the farm for a decade now, and most recently, cycling from Norway to Spain. May the future be just as rewarding!
